Letters from our fans...............
"What
an awesome venue! With Peter on guitar, Dennis on harmonica, Dan
on his 6 string bass, and Hernandez on the drums, makes this blues/rock
band well worth seeing over and over again. Very rarely do you
see talented musicians play with such heart and soul as the Peter
Karp Band did on October 18,2002 at the Pine Tavern in Old Bridge,
NJ. ...We all thank you for a great night...and hope to see you
back there soon."

I
can't tell you how excited I am to be a part of getting you guys
back to Texas! Getting to know you was the highlight of my SXSW,
not to mention your music. I've been listening to the CD nonstop!
And I have to admit, I'm curious about the stories behind your
songs...we'll have to compare notes sometime.
That's
it for this round...

it
was great to meet you guys, and i LOVE the CD. the day i went
back to san marcos from sxsw, i listened to it in the car as i
took the long, scenic drive home through the country side. you
guys really need to get your butts back here and PLAY! gruene
hall (pronounced "green") would be an excellent place
for you to play in the summer. it's the oldest dance hall in texas,
and they host some great shows! kimberley and i are going to work
on getting ya'll back here!
anyhow,
i hope your trip home was okay and that all is well back home.
drop me a line anytime! say hi to everyone for me!
Yep,
the Turning Point lived up to its rep. That show had everything
but pigs in a blanket. (That could be a real expression or Southernism
one day!) Did you get in touch with Jeff Baxter yet?
EF
Okay,
I missed another Turning Point gig, but that doesn't mean I didn't
hear you play. Your CD is now a staple in my mom's car stereo,
and not only did I get to listen to it 3 times this weekend, I
got to listen to her sing along! Among her favorite lyrics, "I
got a belly full of beer and meat
by-product". We also had a disagreement that only you can
settle: in the line, "Grandpa's out back with a bottle of
Jack" does the Jack refer to
Apple Jack, or Jack Daniels?
See
how awful it is to have fans with your email address....

I saw your show for the first time last night at the Turning Point
in Piermont, NY. I don't listen to your style of music often,
my I really enjoyed the show. You guys are great. I liked it so
much that I purchased your CD. I noticed that on the back of the
CD the numeric order of the songs is off. There is no number 7,
but two number 6's. Just something I noticed. I'm famous for things
like that.

...
that you guys were excellent Saturday night at the Canal House.
I had "popped" in for a few drinks at 6:00 thinking
it was going to be a mellow kind of night, but once you started
playing I was in for the duration. Thanks for the terrific music
- and lyrics. I haven't seen talent like yours in a long time.
I'll be checking you out at the Rattlesnake Ranch. Maria Fabrizio
(you know, the one who was dared to take your hat...) :)
Hi
Peter and band, I wanted to thank you for making my birthday on
Tuesday the 17th so memorable. That and the fourteen martinis.
Honestly, tho, you were wonderful, and I did talk to you about
looking into bookings for you in Seattle, which you expressed
an interest. If you are serious about that, I need a demo tape
to get you in. Just let me know, and thanks again for sharing
in my drunken debauchery :)

Hi
Peter, I caught "Peter and the Wolfe" at The Turning
Point last week. Best show I've seen in a long time. I'm sorry
I didn't get a chance to speak with you after the show. I did
get a chance to speak with your lovely daughter. She sold me your
CD and I haven't taken it out of the CD player since. Your daughter
told me you have relatives in Connecticut. My soon-to-be-ex is
a Karp. He's from Stamford, CT. He's been working on a geneology
project for years and I assume you fit in there somewhere. He's
also a BIG blues fan. Are you related to the Karps in Stamford?
Do you have any other CD's? Are you and Todd planning on one together?
I'm going to try to catch another of your shows with Todd in NJ
or PA. Look forward to hearing from you.
