Special thanks: My dog Frank. My longtime friend, agent and organizer Nancy
Lewis Pegel. My European agent Klaus Steigmeir. To Dae Bennett, Kim Wilson,
Shannon Sousa, Jason Ricci, Richard Skelly, my american band from the early
years and onward and my German and Italian band. I want to thank the entire Karp
and Bonney families for always being there for me and my kids. My eternal love to
ML, JK and CK.
The triumphs and tragedies that you leave behind, await you as you move ahead.
Only love, faith and a magnificent heart will see you through.
Magnificent Heart is a collection of 13 new original songs written over the last few
years of touring relentlessly around the world, meeting and playing my guitar for
an incalculable number of people, the innocent, the doomed and the redeemed.
Writing and performing has always been about making a connection. Maybe even a
difference. This record reflects where I’ve been, and what I’ve experienced through
growth, emotionality, aspiration, conflict, love, loss and mortality. A bit heavy?
Sure.
It'd better be, if you want to dance with me.
